What should my child bring to camp?
You will want to include the following in your child's survival kit:

  • sleeping bag and pillow
  • sneakers and socks
  • rain gear
  • warm clothing
  • cool clothing
  • bathing suit and towel
  • extra blanket
  • Bible, notebook and pen
  • toiletries
  • canteen money ($10 - $20 but keep in mind that t-shirts, sweatshirts and caps are for sale at registration - see our store)
  • flashlight
  • sunscreen
  • hat
  • medications

Make sure that you properly identify all of your child's gear.

What should my child NOT bring to camp?
Your child will NOT need:

  • walkman
  • radio
  • markers
  • guitar
  • spaghetti straps
  • belly shirts
  • video phones
  • cell phones
  • laptop computers

What if my child wets the bed?
Come anyway! Camp has a fully functional washer and dryer and counselors are sensitive to the issue and will assist your child in every way possible.

Will my child be safe?
You can be assured of your child's safety. Qualified lifeguards provide up-to-date water safety instruction at both the pool and the lake. In addition, a qualified First Aid Attendant is on duty at all times. All of our staff members have a current Standard First Aid Certificate, and the Sussex Health Centre is within 35 km of the camp. Camp staff have also had police checks.

When do you need the registration form and fee?
Please keep in mind that registration is limited. Your payment and registration fee must be received no later than three (3) weeks prior to your reserved week of camp. If this fee and registration is not received by then, your child will not be registered for camp. Click here to register your child.

What time does camp start and end?
The camps start at 3:30 pm on Sunday and end at 6 pm Friday evening.

Will my child need money for anything?
Your child may require money for the Tuck Canteen. In addition, if they want to purchase a t-shirt, cap, etc. they will need additional funds. Check out our store for more details. In addition, the scrapbooking camp has supplies your child may need to purchase at camp. See our schedule for more details.

How do I contact my child during camp?
In case of emergency, please phone us at (506) 839-2964. Otherwise, you may email your child. Just send an email to info@camptulakadik.com and make sure you put the full name of your child in the subject line.

My child has food allergies and health concerns. What do I need to do?
When you register, advise the nurse of any medical problems and leave your completed Medical Information Form with him/her. Please also leave all medications with the nurse. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a peanut-free or nut-free week.

What sort of activities are there?
Swimming, canoeing, archery, fishing, singing, campfires, vespers, crafts, drama, bible studies, global adventures (learning about missions and missionaries). Lesser activities would be puppets, ropes course, bouldering wall. In case we've missed anything, click here.
